When Gucci works in gold, it means it. The GG 2816 is a semi-rimless rectangle in polished gold stainless steel — wide, confident and built with a level of hardware detail that separates it immediately from the ordinary. The upper bar is clean and straight, but turn the frame sideways and everything opens up: the temples are architectural, with a multi-bar gold structure tapering elegantly from the hinge outward, finished with the interlocking GG logo set in gold at the join. It is jewellery thinking applied to eyewear — and it works completely.
