The Porsche Design by Carrera 5668 is a piece of genuine design history — produced during the period when the Porsche Design studio collaborated with Carrera to create eyewear that applied the same engineering philosophy to frames that Ferdinand Porsche applied to automobiles. Function first. Precision always. Excess never.
 
The result is exactly this: an ultra-slim rectangular metal frame in a two-tone gold and silver finish, so refined in its proportions that it barely registers as a frame at all. A wide, sculpted tortoise acetate nose bridge adds the only warmth in an otherwise entirely architectural composition — a single material decision that elevates the whole frame from instrument to object. Wire-thin temples with amber tortoise tips complete the look with the same restraint.
The Porsche Design logo sits in the lens. Small, confident, completely correct.
