The PO3059S in Tabacco Virginia is a wide, confident rectangle in a tortoise pattern unlike any other in the Persol range — large, painterly splotches of dark brown, amber and cream flowing through the acetate in a bold, almost abstract pattern that is more expressive than classic tortoise and more refined than it has any right to be. Every frame cut from this acetate is unique. The pattern here is generous and striking, the contrast between dark and light particularly sharp.
 
The silhouette is clean and masculine — a squared rectangle with a subtle key-shaped bridge detail at the top centre, and the Persol arrow visible at the hinge in the detail shot. Brown polarised lenses cut glare without losing warmth, delivering the kind of visual clarity that only mineral polarised glass achieves.
